To
enrol your child/children at Excellence Christian Academy please
read the following agreement and corporal correction release
before completing the application form. You will be asked to
sign your acceptance thereof:-
(i) I give permission for my child to participate in all school
activities, including sports and school trips away from the
school premises and absolve the school from liability to me
or my child because of any injury to my child during any school
activity.
(ii)
I agree to uphold and support the high academic standard of
the school by providing a place at home for my child to study,
and giving my child encouragement in the completion of any homework
or assignments.
(iii) I appreciate the standards of the school and do not tolerate
profanity, obscenity in work or action, dishonor to the Godhead
and the Word of God, or disrespect to the personnel of the school.
I hereby agree to support all regulations of the school on the
applicant's behalf and authorise the school in the discipline
as it deems wise and expedient for the training of my child.
(iv) I understand that the school reserves the right to dismiss
any child who continuously fails to comply with the established
regulations and discipline.
(v) I understand that I would need to attend and complete the
parent orientation course before my children commence with the
school program.
(vi) I realise that from time to time children take issue with
actions they do not agree with, and they are prone to protect
themselves. This being normal for children, should discontentment
occur, I will contact the school to clarify the incident.
(vii) I will ensure that my child attends school punctually
everyday and attends all school functions. Should my child be
absent I will send a letter explaining their absence.
(viii) I will ensure that my child upholds the schools prescribed
dress code.
(ix) I have read and completed the forms, and confirm that all
information is correct and accurate and also commit my child
into the program of this school which I will support to the
best of my ability.
CORPORAL
CORRECTION RELEASE
Dear
Parents,
We believe it is necessary to follow Scriptural admonition
to correct a child when his/her behavior is in violation of
proper or reasonable rules and procedure. When warranted,
corporal correction will be exercised under the following
guidelines:
1. The offence will be clearly discussed with your child.
2. A staff member will discuss the spiritual applications
and will pray with your child.
3. If possible we will contact you before administering strokes.
4. A reasonable number of firm strokes, not to exceed 5 will
be administered by a staff member, using a simple, flat paddle
for the girls and an appropriate rod for the boys.
5. A staff witness will be present.
6. Your child will not be physically restrained. (If he or
she refuses to submit to paddling, you will be asked to come
and discuss the matter).
7. After administering of the strokes, the staff member will
pray with your child, assuring him/her of their love.
8. A written report will be made of the date, offence, number
of strokes, and name of correcting staff member and witness.
A copy will be sent to you.
